Crafting On A Budget in March
Crafting shouldn’t break the bank. That’s why this month I’m sharing a great DIY craft that can be given as either a gift or sold to customers.
Custom Baseball Hats
- Blank Baseball Hat
- White Iron-On Vinyl Decal
- Iron or Heat Press
- Lint Roller
- Old Pillow Case
- Sock Roll (2 socks rolled together)
Tip #1: If using an iron to attach decal onto hat, follow recommended directions on vinyl decal as iron temperatures may vary.
Step 1: Use lint roller to remove dust and lint particles from hat.
Step 2: Place vinyl decal backwards (font should read reversed facing you) onto desired spot of hat.
Step 3: Preheat iron as stated on directions of vinyl decal.
Step 4: Take rolled socks and place underneath hat where vinyl decal is positioned. This will help to keep the hat stabilized while ironing.
Step 5: Place old pillow case over vinyl decal and press iron onto it and hold for a few seconds. Repeat pressing iron onto decal until decal is fully adhered. (Check to see if decal is adhered by gently peeling back plastic backing.)
Step 6: Remove old pillow case and let vinyl decal rest for 1 minute before carefully peeling off clear backing.
